By business laptop
Sony is giving us another form of notebook that can be added to our option lists for business notebooks. Although Sony and other brand names have released many series intended for business use, the size of the Vaio SR is more likely to be admired by corporations and business individuals.
This 13.3-inch business laptop suffers a misconception. Some would call it a consumer laptop while Sony claims it to be a business laptop. But either way, it can function well with the kind of specs that it holds.
The screen has a 1280×800-pixel resolution with a LED-backlit display that contributes to its superior display. It could have been more interesting if Sony did attach a Blu-ray drive.
However, a commanding Intel Core 2 Duo 45nm processor is running the system. And with a memory up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM that has a speed of 2.93GHz, it is unquestionably a business laptop by nature. It also provides a 250GB hard disk drive that can give us more space for storage.
The keyboard still clings to the trademark of Sony. It has keys that have excellent gaps that contribute well to the comfort of typing. And its grayish aluminum color adds to the beauty of the laptop. Otherwise, only the touch itself can make you feel warm and relaxed.
The touchpad is smooth and sensitive, the way the business laptops must have. The mouse buttons, which are found within the touchpad, also are soft to the fingers. Unlike any other business notebooks, some are too deep, some too hard to press.
This 1-inch thin notebook has the usual connections found in thicker laptops. On the left side of the laptop, we can see the VGA, FireWire, Express slot, headphone jack, and microphone jack. On the right side, you can the optical drive, two USB ports, Ethernet, and a modem. At the front part, we have the wireless switch and the SD card reader. And there’s nothing at the back. But before I forget, there’s no eSATA or HDMI port to be exact.
About the battery life, you can have, most probably, 3.5 hours of work time. But if you are capable of doing things in an energy-saving manner, such as dimmer visuals, you can extend its life. So, you can comply with your casual office works before it dies.
Therefore, there’s no way you can say that this Sony style has no right to perform business tasks. As of portability, it’s thin and light. As of performance, it’s fast and stable. And as of build, it’s strong and stylish.
Anyway, if you want to purchase it for personal or for business use, then you can have it starting at $1,049.99.
