By business laptop
MacBook is a great alternative for people who would want a notebook that has an Apple emblem but care less of what they should be using.
This white laptop is so fragile because of its plastic material used for its casing. Though small for its dimensions 1.08 inches x 5.03 inches x 0.89 inch (2.75cm x 12.78cm x 2.27cm), it is quite thicker than its rivals. There was nothing exhilarating really with its design. It’s the usual Apple laptop, plain and simple on the outside.
On the inside, still, there’s nothing special. The screen is stripped off of backlight that is surely a big help in making the display more clear and vibrant. Though it has a 1280×800 resolution, which is good enough, but the absence of the LED backlight can be really felt. I don’t know why Apple has taken off this important key factor on this laptop.
Anyway, the keyboard is keeping the MacBook on the race track. It has a good spacing and its keypads are soft and silent. So, when hammering a thousand letters, the noise pollution won’t bother you and the comfort of typing makes you feel loose and relaxed. Below it is a touchpad that is working quite well too.
Apple is boarding an NVIDIA 9400M chipset, a fairly good feature for video and image processing. With its 2GB of DDR2 RAM, it runs smooth when utilizing softwares that are of everyday necessity such as office works. Now this is why this notebook can be considered as a business laptop. Moreover, if you can upgrade it to a 4GB of RAM, then it can be more speedy and reliable.
With its connections, the MacBook is a little bit short. The ports are placed on the left side, namely the Kensington lock, FireWire, mini-DVI, Ethernet, two USB ports, and the microphone and headphone jacks. This might be a little thing to consider for some but this scarcity is too big to ignore especially if you are a businessman and a traveller at the same time.
Therefore, the MacBook can be a personal or a business laptop because of its performance. However, its deficiencies are pulling it down. With so many notebooks with the same size and functionality as this Apple’s MacBook, it can fall short to its direct competitors. But, somehow, it can function well with regard to its performance on data processing and its capabilities in terms of doing basic office works. The Macbook may be elegant and has quality performance, but with its massive effect of its slip-ups, it might not be that good for a $999 price.
